What Console do you want? Xbox 360 Montage’

In XBOX360, xbla, xbox live on November 16, 2009 by Social Gamer

I have been having “FUN” just watching these new holiday commercials from Microsoft. Let’s push the Xbox 360 to the top of every video gamers wish list this holiday season…! Let do it!

These are just a few of my favorites. Microsoft is not planning on letting the competition get all of the attention this holiday season.

Rate these videos up and let’s see the 360 prevail as the entertainment hub for the entire family not just the hardcore gamers. Peace…!

Just for the record I own both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but I never get the same enjoyment that I get while gaming on Live! with all of my gaming buddies. The few that I do game with on my PS3 seem to not care much for community and/or online game voice communication? They just like to hang out in HOME and meet people that way? I wonder why that is, oh wait….no I don’t. HOME sucks balls and I don’t want nothing to do with it. Give me a stationary Avatar any day over walking around in a great looking 3D environment that you can’t voice chat with a group. Not to mention the crap-tastic mini games that are through out the HOME experience.

Over on Fourzerotwo’s blog he goes a bit more into the details of the upgraded graphical techniques that are implicated into the new MW2 game. From what I’ve seen here, it looks like companies are really getting smarter on getting more graphical performance out of these current generation consoles.

Madballs Invade E3 2009: Popular Toy Icons Back with a Vengeance!

In E3, Madballs, xbox live on June 17, 2009 by Social Gamer

Upcoming Xbox LIVE® Game and Much More on Horizon

OTTAWA, CANADA – June 17 2009 – Playbrains, an independent game development studio specializing in the digital download arena, is set to introduce those freaky-looking rubber balls with the grossly sculpted faces into the videogame console arena this summer via Xbox LIVE Arcade in Madballs in…Babo:Invasion.

Unleashed upon an unsuspecting world in 1986, Madballs were the gross-out phenomenon of the decade. Aimed at younger and older boys alike, Madballs featured such evocatively named characters as Oculus Orbus™ and Horn Head™. Extending their gleefully outrageous reach beyond toys, Madballs sparked a merchandising craze that included action figures, t-shirts, comic books and animated entertainment. This summer, two popular Madballs characters are set to invade the world of videogames for the first time, bouncing fearlessly onto the Xbox LIVE platform.

Madballs in…Babo:Invasion is an arena-based 3D shooter featuring Oculus Orbus™, a slimy mass of bloodshot veins who possesses an ultra-deadly “Ramming Speed” superpower that allows him to stun attack his enemies, and a super-speedy “Fast Forward” ability, which he uses to escape danger and any incoming fatal blows. Also up for the Babo:Invasion challenge is Horn Head™, a bodiless Cyclops with a massive horn jutting out of his forehead who can spin his nose chain with his “Psycho Slash” power to inflict pain, or taking it to the next level, can become an insane “Psyclone” of slobber and destruction. Both characters are fully loaded with weapons, unlockable weapon modes and plenty of Madballs’ attitude.
About Madballs in…Babo:Invasion

A gameplay rich, feature laden “casually hardcore” action shooter, Madballs in..Babo:Invasion (MiBI) is that rarest of gaming commodities: a genuinely unique title. Featuring the recently re-released Madballs™ characters, Oculus Orbus™ and Horn Head™, from the popular 1980’s toys best remembered for their outrageously bad looks and graphically colorful names, MiBI is an arena-based 3D shooter where players are able to design their own combat maps almost instantaneously by placing a combination of map tiles to create a never-before-seen map before gameplay starts. Truly, no two games are ever the same.

Offering players a satisfying and immersive experience in both single-player and multiplayer, Madballs in…Babo:Invasion has a plethora of features and game modes such as 4-player online co-op along with, never-before-seen in an Xbox LIVE Arcade title, being able to incorporate your Xbox LIVE Avatar into multiplayer combat via the ‘Avatar Attack’ mode. Yes, Xbox LIVE Arcade combat just got personal. And with up to 16-player multiplayer support, MiBI will be one of the few Xbox LIVE Arcade games to support more than 8 players at a time, and the only avatar-based game to support 16 players.

In controller, motion controller, xbox 360, xbox live on May 25, 2009 by Social Gamer

I was looking at preorders on Gamestop website and came across the motion controller for xbox360. The motion controller is set to come out on October 15, 2009. It is going to be bundle with the game Squeezeballs: Island party. You can preorder it today and priced for 69.99. As of right now gamestops website doesn’t show the controller be sold seperatly but will post any new information received

Little information about game:
Squeeballs” for Xbox 360 is a unique collection of 11 motion sensing party game types. The game will come bundled with the Gametrak Freedom (also referred to simply as “Freedom”) handset utilizing PDP’s proprietary and exclusive motion based technology. Launching in fall 2009, “Squeeballs” and Freedom will bring motion-based fun and physical party play to the Xbox 360 for the first time. Squeeballs are 12 adorable, small, cuddly toy characters that are manufactured on a remote and secret island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. As part of the requirements before they can be sold to happy children around the world, Squeeballs must be fully put to the test…to the point of destruction! That’s where the gameplay begins. You will blow up, cook, slice, bat, bowl, shoot and skim the Squeeballs through over 150 mini-game challenges, all the while using the Freedom motion handset to pull, stretch, throw, spin, shake, weave, fly and slide your way through the games. The game is primarily targeted for children 6 to 13, but is designed to also appeal to the Casual Game and Family Game genres.
