Mexico City – May 26, 2009- After a wildly successful 2008 show, Electronic Game Show will return to Expo Bancomer Santa Fe in Mexico City from Oct. 23 to 25, 2009.
Electronic Game Show 2009 will be the eighth year for Latin America’s largest videogame event. In addition to the three-day show in October, this will be the first year for EGS Business, to be held Aug. 26-27. The new business-oriented event is designed to provide publishers and retailers with a conference tailor-made for their business needs.
“The tremendous growth of the Latin American videogame market really necessitated the creation of an event just for retailers and publishers,” said Jorge Lizarraga, CEO of the show-organizer company Oelli. “With access to both Electronic Game Show and EGS Business, the Latin American industry will have the networking opportunities and tools it needs to continue pushing into new frontiers.”
Key companies including Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Konami, Activision and THQ have already signed on as exhibitors at this year’s Electronic Game Show.
“EGS has been instrumental in the growth of the Mexican videogames industry,” said Erick Baca, Xbox and SDA Marketing Lead. “Microsoft has been a participant of the event since the beginning and we have seen EGS evolve according to the needs of the industry allowing us to reach our business goals and at the same time increase the awareness of the industry in the market”
2008 marked the first year Electronic Game Show was held at Expo Bancomer Santa Fe, located in Mexico City’s most important business district. The move to the new location, prompted by rapid expansion in the Latin American videogame industry, allowed for a larger exhibition floor than previous years, as well as expanded activities.
More than 26,000 consumers and journalists in attendance last year had the opportunity to explore a number of high-profile pre-release titles including Gears of War 2, Little Big Planet, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Pro Evolution Soccer 2009.
Electronic Game Show has become one of the largest and most influential events in the digital-entertainment industry. EGS is now the largest videogame event in Latin America. Consumers and journalists at EGS see the newest and best in videogames, consumer electronics, digital entertainment and more.
I’ve been playing Combat Arms for some time now, and it’s is really a highly supported game by it’s fans and Nexon. You can always tell when a game is doing well, when the game(s) continue to receive updates for stability and upgrades that enhance gameplay and modes. Combat Arms is one of those games, were the game is a whole lot better from it’s original launch window.
I haven’t spent as much time with in HOME like other gamers that only own a PS3. Just feels a bit stale at the moment. I do like the potential that HOME will offer but in it’s current state..(read on)

I know a lot of blogs and websites are posting the new FFXIII trailer and I said why not jump on in as well? But, unfortunately I don’t have press access to my own direct file of the video so I am posting the video from youtube.com. It is one of the best versions I found on the site. I can’t believe that I am excited for yet another Final Fantasy game. I guess it’s because it’s an all new story and not just another remake of a remake. I won’t hold my breath and will just sit tight and look at this video and drool at the sexy eye candy.
Enjoy,

“One of the most appealing features in the New XBOX Experience is the ability to download the game file over to your Hard Drive to minimize loading times. As we go hands-on with the New XBOX Experience and tried downloading numerous XBOX 360 games to our hard drive, there is one thing that we notice that will really lessen the XBOX 360 from overheating, which will lead to the RRoD.
If we remember when we played the game without installing the game files to our hard drive, our machines would use twice the power it needed, making the fans go loud, and, of course, making the system produce too much heat that can eventually lead to overheating to a Red Ring of Death. We observed a new feature of the NXE that lets you download the game through your hard drive. Once the game is downloaded to the system, we noticed that our machine doesn’t produce the same heat it does when playing the game without installing it to our hard drive. The fan is not loud as it used to be, and the system feels like you just turned it on.
Could this be the solution of Microsoft to decrease the chance of RRoD in their system?”
If you have been all gitty on the Netflix feature coming to the NXE on your XBOX 360 this November 19th. Then check out these links with indepth testing of the new service. The most important thing is the fact that the 360 will be the only place to begin with the new Neflix HD content. More information after the links.
Updated video on NXE page. The video is located at bottom of page. After we get the NXE update we will have the option to install full games onto the HDD for faster load times less pop ups in the background and over all quiteness to the 360 while playing games.
