I have been having “FUN” just watching these new holiday commercials from Microsoft. Let’s push the Xbox 360 to the top of every video gamers wish list this holiday season…! Let do it!
These are just a few of my favorites. Microsoft is not planning on letting the competition get all of the attention this holiday season.
Rate these videos up and let’s see the 360 prevail as the entertainment hub for the entire family not just the hardcore gamers. Peace…!
Just for the record I own both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but I never get the same enjoyment that I get while gaming on Live! with all of my gaming buddies. The few that I do game with on my PS3 seem to not care much for community and/or online game voice communication? They just like to hang out in HOME and meet people that way? I wonder why that is, oh wait….no I don’t. HOME sucks balls and I don’t want nothing to do with it. Give me a stationary Avatar any day over walking around in a great looking 3D environment that you can’t voice chat with a group. Not to mention the crap-tastic mini games that are through out the HOME experience.

It’s now official, everyone is posting this as I do the same. Here is a straight to the point post from Netflix’s own Official Blog.
Greg Peters, VP of product development at Netflix, here. We’ve got good news for PS3 owners! Soon you will be able to instantly watch movies and TV episodes on your TV via your PS3. Today we announced that the PS3 is about to join the ever growing list of Netflix ready devices that allow streaming of movies and TV episodes whenever you want, as much as you want, all included in your unlimited Netflix subscription. The PS3 is a terrific Blu-ray and gaming platform that will get even better in November when we start streaming thousands of movies and TV episodes!
We all knew it was coming but we just didn’t know how long Xbox was going to be able to hold on to it’s exclusive rights. My question is how good would the service compare to the 360’s great party and chat features that in a few words make the service worth it. I would love to have another device with the Netflix service since I already stream HD through my Xbox and on my Laptop when on the road. One thing I know the only way I am going to use Netflix on my PS3 is “if” and only “if” the PS3 get’s 4 or more Party Chat and the ability to stream in HD over it’s “rank” 802.11b wireless built in, give me wireless A or N.
Bottom line this is a good thing for Netflix more than anyone else, since all I heard before this announcement, was how much SONY boys didn’t want or care about Netflix so just like every other things SONY didn’t want, it switches to we have that to.

More information from the Namco Bandai camp, details us a sample of what to come.
In the most recent press release we get word of some pretty big ambitions for Dead to Rights®: Retribution.
“The seamless combat system for Jack blends gunplay, hand-to-hand and an AI-controlled partner Shadow to provide full freedom for players to choose how to get through any combat situation. With no loading or change in menus between each set of mechanics, the player can easily access all three toolsets and decide what to use at any time. While the systems all work well individually, the ability to seamlessly move between and combine the mechanics is the core of the system. Players can choose to combo an enemy and pull the trigger to finish them off, move from cover to cover to ambush an enemy, utilize Shadow to hold an enemy while Jack takes them out with a final shot – the encounter can change each time and it’s all up to the player to decide.
Thrusting players into a mature neo-noir crime drama as vice cop Jack Slate and his canine companion Shadow, Dead to Rights: Retribution introduces new gameplay elements that unify the third person shooting and brawling genres for a brutal and relentless new action-driven experience. Introducing an innovative new hybrid combat system that seamlessly blends gunplay with hand-to-hand combat and AI partner, the game puts the full combat potential of a highly trained, highly agitated law-enforcement officer into players’ hands.”
I’m glad to offer you a look of the latest Developer’s Diary.
“NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today released a new developer diary video for Dead to Rights®: Retribution, a ground-up reinvention of the multi-million unit selling crime action series developed by Volatile Games. The new video provides a look at the game’s seamless combat system in motion, which is at the heart of the gameplay system for main character Jack Slate.”

This weeks Playstation store update is going to be Odd, and your name is Abe…!
This weeks Playstation Store Update brings us two retro PS1 classic that IMHO gave the 2D puzzle platformer a real revitalization. Prior to Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus all we had was mario and sonic just to name two big dogs of 2D console platforming greatness.
The thing is that the Oddworld franchise had a more mature under tone and offered deeper puzzles. Something that also put Oddworld on a league of it’s own were the visuals and sound effects. You could talk to your fellow Oddworld Inhabitants by directing them to follow you, stay put or fart on them? Yup I said FART..! LMAO
The news:
Coming to PSN this Week: Oddworld PSone Classics
Posted: 19 Oct 2009 03:08 PM PDT
OMG! Our baby’s come home! Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus PSone Classics are both available on the PlayStation Store for only $9.99 each starting Thursday, October 22.
It was only about six years ago that I told our agent at the time, “Larry, don’t you get it!? Our classic Abe games are history. The systems that played them are gone and they aren’t coming back. Ours is a disposable medium and we don’t have a Turner Classics channel.” He looked at me with this defeated expression and said, “Dude, that’s the most depressing thing I’ve ever heard you say.” He believed me, and I too believed it at the time.
Six years later and I have to admit it’s great being proved wrong.
We couldn’t have been more thrilled when we learned that the PlayStation Network was willing to offer our classic Abe games to an entirely new generation of gamers. Finally, gamers who never got the chance to meet and play him when he first came out on the PSone system, will now get that chance to meet the guy who graced many magazine covers and proved the unlikely hero that captured people’s hearts.

I’ve been playing a whole lot of Demon’s Souls since it launched last week and I agree with all of the reviewers out there. This game is unforgivingly hard as hell. That being said, the game is so unique in gameplay and it’s online connectivity, you would be short changing your self if you own a PS3 and/or your a western role playing gamer.

Over on Fourzerotwo’s blog he goes a bit more into the details of the upgraded graphical techniques that are implicated into the new MW2 game. From what I’ve seen here, it looks like companies are really getting smarter on getting more graphical performance out of these current generation consoles.

In Combat Arms, PC Gaming, online, update on October 16, 2009 by Social Gamer
I’ve been playing Combat Arms for some time now, and it’s is really a highly supported game by it’s fans and Nexon. You can always tell when a game is doing well, when the game(s) continue to receive updates for stability and upgrades that enhance gameplay and modes. Combat Arms is one of those games, were the game is a whole lot better from it’s original launch window.

Just as a side note, earlier this month Combat Arms received an entirely new Zombie Mode, it gives a new meaning to being infected.
