Woke up this morning to my surprise Kotaku had a post showcasing the new Japanese DSi colors. The colors are amazing and should of been the colors to launch here in the US on April 5th. The metallic Blue is a lot better than the baby blue DSi that the US is getting.

Nintendo has just announced three new colors for its new Nintendo DSi handheld: Pink, Lime Green and Metallic Blue. All three colors will go on sale in Japan on March 20.

In hand held, indie, microsoft, mobile, running pixel, xbl, xbox live on February 24, 2009 by Social Gamer

Just received a E-mail from Massimo Riera from RunningPixel.
The press release was in Italian language so I had it translated.

Running Pixel Press Release:
Bricks4ever the breakers made in Italy by Running Pixel.
Running Pixel announces that his second game Bricks4ever is now available on Xbox Live.
Bricks4Ever is a bricks-breakers with 50 levels and three different modes of game: Classic and Zen 4ever we have worked for this thinking game for large classic as Arkanoid that had fun an entire generation. We wanted to bring the same atmosphere to Xbox with a few small touches the staff hopes it’s appreciated.
The objective we have set ourselves to give 50 levels of classic variety both the visual and the gameplay. Zen mode is designed as arrangements for training or relaxation for those who love stress relief.
For these modes of game you can choose to play in two, thanks to the co-op mode, allowing you to help each other and quickly exceed the most difficult levels.
Finally 4ever mode gives you the opportunity to test your skills facing row after row, level always renews and is infinite.

We enjoy much to do so, was how to return something of the timeless classic in the world, I also hope that those of you who try it have the same opinion.

Sorry for the rough translation.

Fillpoint Announces Acquisition of Handleman’s SVG Distribution and Crave Entertainment Group

In social on February 24, 2009 by Social Gamer

I just recieved this press release E-Mail from MICHAEL MEYERS PUBLIC RELATIONS .
It’s a very interesting read. This is very much game industry related and could mean a lot to companies that offer online videogame distribution.

Here it is:

Acquisition to instantly create potent online and in-store videogame distribution network;
extensive publishing and exclusive distribution will bolster value sector offering to industry

Newport Beach, Calif. – February 24, 2009 - Fillpoint LLC, one of the videogame industries’ leading providers of online distribution, fulfillment, and e-commerce services for national retailers, today announced that it has acquired from the Handleman Company is full service videogame distribution and publishing operations, known as SVG Distribution (SVG) and Crave Entertainment Group (Crave Entertainment) respectively.

SVG is a leading in-store distributor to national retailers of video game software, hardware and related accessories specializing in the video game value sector. The separately-operated Crave Entertainment Group is a specialty video game publisher that has extensive distribution relationships with domestic and international software developers that focuses on the rapidly-expanding exclusive distribution and value sector offerings. SVG’s distribution operations are based in Indianapolis, and Crave Entertainment Group’s offices are located in Newport Beach, Calif. Both groups will continue operating under their existing names in their current locations.

Fillpoint currently provides online fulfillment services for major national retailers, constrained by the limited availability of shelf space for an increasing assortment of videogame products. Fillpoint makes available to national retailers the videogame industry’s broadest and most extensive online selection of product offerings with an assortment of over 4,000 items. National retailers are enjoying significant growth from online sales that also complement and help promote in-store sales. The acquisition immediately establishes Fillpoint with a potent network of both online and in-store distribution; the acquisition will enable Fillpoint to offer its online customers a deeper selection of value offerings through Crave’s publishing and exclusive distribution relationships. The value sector is expected to perform extremely well given the economic downturn. SVG’s customers will now have access to Fillpoint’s state-of-the-art online fulfillment services.

“The acquisition of SVG/Crave enables us to provide significantly expanded offerings in value and publishing both online and in-store,” said Glenn Rockwood, president and CEO of Fillpoint. “We’re excited about the new opportunities introduced by this acquisition, and we will immediately begin working to strengthen and expandthe core SVG and Crave Entertainment Group businesses.”

“With the acquisition successfully completed, we will focus on the development and publication of our exciting slate of videogame offerings for 2009,” said David Burchi, senior VP of content and strategic development of Crave Entertainment. “We have a complete line-up of high-quality, affordably-priced interactive entertainment planned, including Crayola Colorful Journey, Pinball Hall of Fame: Williams Collection for next-generation consoles, and Monster Mayhem: Build & Battle. With the added capabilities, distribution network and support of Fillpoint, we’re anticipating a very successful year.”

I am going to buy this game regardless of any review that I read. I love the series and have played these games for years.
